EI WORKSHOPS

3 DAY EI LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS

It is now understood that successful leadership is based on the emotional and social behaviour of an individual.  Researchers have consistently found a significant relationship between EI and Leadership.  The assessment of emotional intelligence is a powerful tool for both understanding and developing a person’s leadership skills.

THE 3 DAY LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP COVERS THE FOLLOWING:

  • Completion of the scientifically validated Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i) Leadership Report.

       The Bar-On EQ-i Leadership Model consists of seven aspects of leadership divided into two basic parts:
       (1) functional & (2) behavioural styles, or pillars. 

       The three leadership orientations are:

         People Orientated - resolving staff conflicts, handling divergent personalities.
         Process Orientated – accomplishing goals, conducting project/tasks, meeting deadlines
         Organisation Orientated – accessing key corporate resources, using systems, and working within
         the company hierarchy and structure

       The four leadership pillars are:

Centred and Grounded
Action – Taking
Participative
Tough – Minded

3 DAY EMOTIONALLY INTELLIGENT MANAGERS WORKSHOP

  • Completion of the scientifically validated Mayer Salovey Caruso Emotional Intelligence Tool (MSCEIT).

       The MSCEIT is a Powerful and Focused 4 Branch Ability Model of Emotional Intelligence. For optimal
       performance to take place thinking and feeling have to work together in harmony.                           

  1. IDENTIFY EMOTIONS – What emotions are you, and others experiencing?

  2. USING EMOTIONS – How are these emotions directing attention and influencing thinking?

  3. UNDERSTANDING EMOTIONS – What caused these emotions and how might they change

  4. MANAGING EMOTIONS – What emotional strategies best address the problem?

  • Business Case for EI – Case Studies/Research
